The Waste Warrior project was initiated with the following key goals:

Automate the collection of floating waste from water surfaces with minimal human intervention.
Design a compact, portable, and eco-friendly system that can be easily deployed in lakes, rivers, and ponds.
Incorporate smart sensing and maneuverability to efficiently detect and collect debris in real time.
Improve cleaning efficiency while reducing maintenance and energy usage.

Problem Statement

Accumulation of Floating Waste

Urban lakes and rivers are heavily polluted with floating debris such as plastic bags, bottles, and organic waste, leading to clogged waterways and aesthetic degradation.

Environmental & Health Risks

The waste promotes algae blooms, blocks sunlight, and threatens aquatic life, while also posing public health hazards due to stagnant, contaminated water.

Inefficiency of Manual Cleaning
